We started business in 2001 with the vision to become New Zealand's leading specialist in digital signage and integrated technology solutions for communication and out-of-home media, giving businesses the tools to connect with their customers wherever they are, whether it is in-store or outdoors.

Today SignActive^TM has hundreds of screens at hundreds of sites doing just that!

Our role is to develop innovative product and service solutions that combine the most advanced display technologies available with industry standard hardware and world leading software. We build networks that work intuitively and can be controlled and monitored remotely.

Our People

Glenn Anderson
Founder and CEO

In 2001 Glenn founded SignActive Limited with the singular vision to enter the digital signage market at a time when not many were aware of, let alone understood, the technology.

Prior to starting SignActive, Glenn also established and built two other successful businesses from the ground up, both of which are still thriving today. This gave him an in-depth understanding of business in both B2B and B2C markets across retail, corporate, government, and education sectors. Thirsty for his next challenge, Glenn became one of the first to help businesses harness the often feared and usually misunderstood technology of digital signage and out-of-home media to connect with their customers and staff. Almost a decade later Glenn remains at the forefront of industry innovation and best practice. Glenn also holds a Graduate Diploma in Business (Marketing) from the University of Auckland.

As Chief Executive Officer, Glenn's combined mastery of technical implementation and business acumen ensure that SignActive's solutions not only "just work", but they also address each client's specific needs and have an impact on their bottom line. A veritable pioneer of New Zealand's digital signage industry, Glenn is one of the few who has "seen it all" and knows exactly what it takes to deliver a robust and easy to use solution.

Sumant Walter Rao
Chief Technology Officer

Sumant has over ten years' experience in the field of Information Technology, having successfully delivered technical requirements for a range of companies including EDS. As Chief Technology Officer, Sumant project manages and coordinates hardware and software setup / installation, ongoing maintenance, and other key technical deliverables for SignActive's clients - in short, he makes sure that your stuff works.

A real jack of all (technology) trades, Sumant is also well-versed in content creation and graphic design using a range of software formats including After Effects, Illustrator and Flash. He also has extensive experience in digital content creation within the film production, web development, and graphic design industries with companies such as P10. Sumant has a degree in Business Management from Bangalore University and a Diploma in Software Programming from the National Institute of Information Technology in India.
